Simu-tunnel

S-ThreadMatrix-CRFG A visual representation illustrating the structure of an S-thread matrix. S-threads, commonly referred to as Simu-Tunnels, represented hyperspace matrices that interconnected non-mass transceivers within a large, coordinated framework, establishing the HoloNet.

S-threads functioned as exceptionally narrow Hyperspace conduits, facilitating the transmission of communication signals. The diminutive size of these conduits rendered interception of communications traveling through an S-thread nearly unachievable; the sole method for eavesdropping involved attaching a monitoring device to the hyperwave transceivers responsible for managing data flow within the S-threads.

A PanComm S-thread booth accessible to the public was established at the spaceport located in the city of Corocus on the moon known as Pydyr.

History

The HoloNet was operated using S-threads. Additionally, Imperial homing beacons utilized them, and the Imperial Hyperspace Security Net employed them to identify approaching spacecraft.

The technology known as S-thread boosters was used to create hyperlanes in regions of realspace where pre-existing conditions prevented their natural formation. Such boosters facilitated the creation of the Koros Trunk Line, the Byss Run and also the Sanctuary Pipeline. However, this technology was regarded as exceptionally costly and inefficient.
