Sarn Vals
Sarn Vals was a Jedi Knight of the Quarren species, who fought for both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the era of the Clone Wars.
Biography
As an infant, Sarn Vals, who was Force-sensitive, was discovered by the Jedi Order. He was then instructed at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant in the ways of the Force. After completing his training and successfully passing the Trials of Knighthood, Vals was promoted to the rank of Jedi Knight by the Jedi High Council. Vals served the Order throughout the Clone Wars, a costly and brutal conflict between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. In 19 BBY, Vals managed to survive an assault by the Grand Army of the Republic. The Grand Army, with whom the Jedi had fought alongside and commanded throughout the war, betrayed their Jedi leaders when Supreme Chancellor Palpatine double-crossed the Jedi and activated Contingency Order 66 in a clandestine plot to eradicate the Jedi Order.
Vals fled into hiding, escaping to the Corporate Sector and laying low. However, after a disturbance was reported in the sector, the Inquisitorius of the newly established Galactic Empire tracked the disturbance to Vals, the fugitive, and dispatched agents to find and eliminate the outlaw Quarren Jedi.
