Sarrahban, a world situated in the Sarrahban system, existed within the Cyrillian Protectorate found in the Expansion Region. As a planet inhabited by an indigenous species, Sarrahban endeavored to maintain its neutrality during the Galactic Civil War that raged between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire, in spite of efforts from both factions to gain its allegiance. Eventually, the Empire's patience with Sarrahban's neutral stance waned, leading to an invasion of the planet. Amidst the conflict, members of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, specifically those belonging to the local partisan force, sought to flee aboard the Harvest Moon, a grain freighter. Though Imperial forces downed the vessel, Alliance operatives successfully repaired it and made their escape, carrying Rebel refugees and the planet's supply of stabilized ytterbium.
