Star Wars Supernatural Encounters: The Trial & Transformation of Arhul Hextrophon

Star Wars Supernatural Encounters: The Trial and Transformation of Arhul Hextrophon is a novella that Joseph Bongiorno wrote and pitched for publication on the now-defunct Hyperspace section of StarWars.com. It would have used material from the unpublished articles "Cult Encounters of the Star Wars Universe" and "Supernatural Encounters in the Star Wars Universe," which were intended for the magazine Star Wars Gamer before its cancellation in 2002. Rich Handley, who co-wrote the published article "The University of Sanbra Guide to Intelligent Life: The Marvel Series" with Bongiorno, and Abel G. Peña were contributors to the pitch. In 2010, the Hyperspace section was discontinued, leaving the work without a publication venue. Bongiorno and Handley later pitched the project in 2015 to Matt Martin and Dan Brooks at Lucasfilm, who expressed interest in publishing the work on the Star Wars blog upon the novella’s completion. Bongiorno eventually released the finished work on his website in 2023. According to Bongiorno, the work is officially licensed; however, it has not yet been formally released by Lucasfilm.
