Searcher 2050 exploration droid

This compact, spherical droid, sharing similarities with a remote or seeker, possessed a sophisticated design that allowed for a distinct personality and the capacity for independent thought. Often deployed for reconnaissance purposes, much like other probe droids produced by Arakyd Industries, the Searcher 2050 also demonstrated piloting proficiency. It was pre-programmed to control various ground and atmospheric vehicles, including their integrated weaponry, using a built-in Scomp link.

Miners extracting Oridium on Gavos utilized Searcher 2050 units to explore mines and to pilot shuttles. One particular droid of this type was Lookout, who, despite being involved with the New Droids' Rights Movement, remained skeptical about the necessity of a Droid rebellion.
