Seeker missiles represented a type of guided ordnance akin to concussion missiles, but they were designed to be sufficiently small for deployment from standard, lightweight weaponry. These missiles utilized infrared guidance systems and contained a detonite payload powerful enough to completely destroy even the most robust personal shields. Each missile included a miniature thermal imaging camera, capable of transmitting visual information back to the individual who launched it.
A collection of launch tubes, linked to what was described as a 'seemingly endless' supply of seeker missiles, was a feature of the Phase III Dark Trooper.
