Selenius VII

Selenius VII, also known as Selenius, was a celestial body situated within the D'Aelgoth sector of the Mid Rim, specifically along the path of the D'Aelgoth Trade Route. This location, a bustling spaceport, housed a well-known establishment called the "Arc of Fire" Bar & Grill.

In the vicinity of 3 ABY, the bounty hunter named Renlo declared his intention to apprehend the smuggler Han Solo while at the "Arc of Fire." Some months passed, and Renlo returned to the same Selenius establishment, now defeated, and spent his days there, lamenting his failure.

Description

Selenius VII, alternatively referred to as Selenius, was a celestial object that resided in the Selenius system within the D'Aelgoth sector, which is part of the Western Reaches area of the Mid Rim. The D'Aelgoth Trade Route hyperlane served as a connection point to both the Ogem system and the Kassido system, the latter being located in the adjacent Juvex sector.

History

At a point in time around 3 ABY, the bounty hunter Renlo made his way into the "Arc of Fire" Bar & Grill on Selenius VII, announcing to all present his goal of capturing Han Solo, a smuggler who had a considerable bounty placed on him. After this declaration, Renlo purchased drinks for everyone in the bar and then departed to chase after the smuggler.

Fifteen months later, the bounty hunter came back to "Arc of Fire," having been bested by his target and having lost both his gear and his starship. Renlo then spent the following days at "Arc of Fire," regretting his near-capture of the smuggler. Approximately around that time, another bounty hunter brought up Renlo's experiences during a conversation at the Selenius VII establishment.

Inhabitants

Selenius VII functioned as a busy spaceport. The aristocratic Ancient Houses of the Juvex sector maintained a significant number of spies at this particular celestial body.

Behind the scenes

Selenius VII was first presented in "Almost Had 'Im," a brief supplemental story featured in the 1994 sourcebook Galaxy Guide 10: Bounty Hunters. This book was written by Rick D. Stuart and published by West End Games for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. A more concise name for the celestial body, along with its location in grid square L-17, was provided by the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.
