Seltos, situated in the Mid Rim, was a planet that once housed the biggest remaining population of Tarro within its Sommin City. The planet's key economic activities revolved around the cultivation of crops, the creation of lumber, and the extraction of precious ores through mining. Tourism, especially to Seltos' protected natural areas, contributed marginally to its financial well-being. The people indigenous to Seltos were generally regarded as agreeable and good-natured.
The initial colonization of Seltos was driven by the logging industry. Later, it fell under the control of the Galactic Empire, which kept a minimal presence on the planet, consisting of an Imperial governor and two companies of troops. A revolt against the Imperial governor on Seltos led to the establishment of a government that supported the New Republic. Nevertheless, Sinya Deboora, Seltos' Magister of Trade, was unmasked as an Imperial agent by a team of New Republic agents who successfully stopped an Imperial scheme to reclaim the world.
