Serenity represented a fleeting state of meditation that a Jedi could access to revitalize their concentration and strength. Given that it necessitated endurance, inner fortitude, and a profound bond with the Force, this skill was practically exclusively mastered by Jedi Masters.
During the invasion of Naboo, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, accompanied by his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi, faced off against the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Following an intense confrontation, the battle was briefly interrupted when security barriers separated Maul from Qui-Gon. Jinn capitalized on this pause in the duel, assuming a seated position to enter a state of Serenity. As soon as the shields went down, Jinn broke from his trance and launched an immediate attack on Maul. Nevertheless, the Jedi Master ultimately succumbed in the fight and lost his life to the Sith Lord.

During the events of the Clone Wars, Yoda found himself on a mission to Rugosa, where he was confronted by Asajj Ventress and a substantial force of battle droids along with Armored Assault Tanks. Yoda was only accompanied by three clone troopers, who were running critically low on ammunition. Instructing his clones to momentarily maintain their position, Yoda leaped into a canyon directly into the enemy formation and entered a Serenity trance. Believing that he had cut off the Jedi Master's path of retreat, OOM command battle droid 224 informed Ventress that he had located the Jedi. Upon hearing 224's description of Master Yoda's posture, Ventress grew extremely concerned and commanded the droids to commence firing without delay. However, Yoda emerged from his Serenity trance and proceeded to obliterate the three tanks along with a significant number of droids. Aided by his three clones, Master Yoda successfully annihilated the entire battalion of droid forces.
