Shaak Ti's quarters

The personal residence of High Council member Shaak Ti was her base of operations from the moment she joined the High Council until the Order was destroyed during the Great Jedi Purge.

History

These living spaces were given to Master Shaak Ti when she was appointed to the High Council, an event that occurred after the death of Master Yaddle. Within these rooms, Ti cultivated an environment that facilitated meditation on the Force.

During the time of the Clone Wars, Master Ti experienced distress following the Battle of Brentaal IV and sought to clear her mind through meditation. While she was meditating deeply, fellow Master Plo Koon came to her and encouraged Ti to meditate alongside him, not as warriors or as Jedi, but simply as friends.

Two years later, Ti was stationed at the Jedi Temple while Master Mace Windu departed to arrest the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Sidious. As she went to her chambers to meditate, she sensed Windu's demise and began to gather all the Jedi within the Temple. As the Temple was seized by the soldiers of the 501st Legion, Master Ti engaged the newly named Darth Vader in the corridors as Jedi were falling all around her. After fighting to a standstill, Ti was able to disengage and assemble a group of Padawans and Knights to evacuate the Temple.

Layout

The room, which was situated on the Council Members' Level of the High Council Tower, was accessible through a black door located off a corridor that circled the tower's central core. The room was bare and hexagonal, containing only a few metallic meditation pads and a sleep couch. Similar to the other Masters' accommodations, the chamber was surrounded by pillars that framed covered windows, which overlooked the cityscape of Galactic City.

Behind the scenes

The set for Shaak Ti's quarters was built for the film Revenge of the Sith. Although it was filmed, Ti's death scene was ultimately cut from the final version of the movie. Shaak Ti's chamber actually made an appearance two years before its intended debut in Revenge of the Sith, as it was shown at the conclusion of the comic book, Jedi: Shaak Ti. Her quarters were also featured in the non-canonical version of her death (based on the original filmed version in which she dies in her quarters at the hands of Darth Vader) in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game.
