Shadow wing

Shadow wing, a wing of TIE/LN starfighters, existed within the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Among Shadow wing's pilots was PS-29-2, known as "Mynock," who utilized the call sign Shadow Two. This pilot operated and meticulously adjusted the control systems of a TIE/LN starfighter, which was deployed to enforce blockades and was exceptionally maneuverable for quick strikes against undefended transports and freighters. Another TIE pilot in Shadow wing was PS-29-3, known as "Hammer." PS-29-3, who flew using the call sign Shadow Three, aspired to eventually command Shadow wing; his starfighter was equipped with a command system capable of coordinating the entire wing's combined firepower.

Behind the scenes

The creation of the Imperial Shadow wing occurred with the release of the Premiere expansion set for Decipher's Jedi Knights Trading Card Game in 2001. Although Shadow Three, PS-29-3, Shadow Two, and PS-29-2's cards were simultaneously introduced, only the cards for Shadow Three and Shadow Two specifically mentioned the wing's name.
