Sharp, designated as a clone trooper captain, was a member of the Devil Dogs squad within the 44th Special Operations Division.
During the battle that took place on the planet of Mimban, a blaster bolt struck him in the throat. This injury resulted in a distortion of his voice. He later participated in the Battle of Khorm. During this battle, Sharp collaborated closely with Jedi Generals Kit Fisto and Plo Koon, whose dedication to the principles of the Galactic Republic, even amidst war, contrasted with the pragmatic approach of Sharp and his unit, who prioritized achieving objectives regardless of ethical considerations.
Given his unit's expertise in demolitions, Sharp and his team supported Generals Fisto and Koon in their mission to eliminate a Separatist climate-control facility that was hindering Republic reinforcements from entering orbit. En route, they were ambushed by Asajj Ventress and a droid battalion, resulting in the loss of most of Sharp's men and their explosives. General Koon devised an alternative strategy: to infiltrate the weather station's control systems and redirect a storm onto the station itself. Sharp tasked his electronics expert, Fixer, with executing this plan, successfully directing a storm at the station and destroying it.
With the weather station neutralized, the main Separatist base became vulnerable. While Plo Koon led a team to liberate Khormai hostages within the base, Sharp accompanied General Fisto to destroy the base's primary defense weaponry. They gained entry through the barrel of a large turret, finding themselves inside the base without a clear plan to disable the guns before more droids arrived. Sharp proposed utilizing the gun's agrocite-fueled projectile to destroy the other cannons. He volunteered to personally ignite the round, sacrificing himself to disable the guns and provide Fisto with an opportunity to escape. He told the general that he wanted to die like a Devil Dog - with a loud explosion. The plan was successful, resulting in the destruction of the guns and much of the base.
