Gauntlet shields

A specialized type of armored hand covering, known as a shield gauntlet or gauntlet shield, was essentially an armored gauntlet equipped with a defensive mechanism. This mechanism involved a set of slender metal plates housed within the gauntlet; upon activation, a sophisticated servo-joint system would rapidly extend these plates outward, forming a fan-like metallic barrier suitable for deflecting physical attacks.

Enfys Nest notably employed a set of these shield gauntlets, constructed with beskar plates, skillfully utilizing them to provide effective protection against incoming blaster bolts.
