Sibling (Chiss)

The most esteemed familial position within the Chiss Ascendancy was Sibling, a title equivalent to brother or sister. Within the Chiss social structure, this rank held a higher status than that of cousin. While some Chiss individuals could achieve the sibling rank through demonstrated accomplishments, the majority were born into it. Chaf'ees'aklaio Aide, known as "Feesa" in her core name, from the Fifth Ruling Family, detailed the structure of Chiss families to Dean Jinzler in 22 ABY. Feesa clarified that the family designation of sibling could be obtained either through inherent lineage or through exceptional achievements.
