A substantial New Republic contingent laid siege to a large Imperial shipyard that was under the dominion of the Dark Empire. This shipyard was positioned within the Galactic Rim.
The troop transport vessel, designated as the Pelagia, had plans to meet up with a squadron of X-wing fighters from a flight group operating out of the Ottega system, with the ultimate goal of reinforcing the invading forces. However, the Pelagia, along with everyone on board, met its destruction after being struck by a projectile launched from the formidable Galaxy Gun.
