Simonelle, the Ingoian droid engineer and gifted doctor, who was also an outlaw tech, ran a laboratory called Simonelle's workshop. The workshop was secretly situated within the Minos Cluster. It was in this secluded place that Simonelle designed and built his Human replica droids, one of which was Guri.
Prince Xizor, the head of Black Sun, commanded Guri to go back to Simonelle's workshop in 3 ABY with the intention of assassinating the Ingoian scientist. Guri believed she had killed Simonelle, but he had actually substituted himself with another Human replica droid. After Guri destroyed this droid, Simonelle used the attack to stage his own demise and disappear.
