Sinded, a planet, could be found within the Sinded system, which itself was situated in the D'Aelgoth sector of the Western Reaches, a region within the Mid Rim. In the year 7 ABY, General Crix Masst of the New Republic was on Sinded. While Masst was there, the assassin known as Morteos sabotaged Masst's speeder by planting a bomb in its repulsorlift generator, resulting in the death of the general. As Morteos attempted to flee Sinded using his customized freighter, patrolling Y-wing starfighters opened fire, almost destroying the assassin's vessel. Despite this, Morteos successfully escaped. Later, New Republic General Airen Cracken referenced the Sinded assassination in an entry of the datafile Wanted by Cracken that focused on Morteos.
Sinded initially appeared in the 1993 Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game supplement called Wanted by Cracken, authored by Louis J. Prosperi for West End Games. The 2009 reference book, The Essential Atlas, located the Sinded system, and consequently the planet itself, at grid coordinates L-17.
