Sith stealth regiment
The potent Force nexus situated on Thule became the base of operations for a Sith stealth regiment hailing from the old Sith Empire during the Manderon Period. This group, one of the few remaining Sith communities to endure after the Great Hyperspace War and the subsequent counterinvasion, chose to isolate themselves on Thule for centuries as they awaited the eventual return of the Sith to the galaxy.
History
Sometime before 5000 BBY, a Sith stealth regiment belonging to the old Sith Empire established a presence at the remote Force nexus of Thule. This special forces unit was attracted to Thule due to its isolated location on the westernmost fringes of the Stygian Caldera and the inherent concentrated power it possessed in the dark side of the Force.
After the Sith Empire's defeat in the Great Hyperspace War, a small contingent of Sith refugees and loyalists sought refuge on Thule, hoping to evade the post–Great Hyperspace War counterinvasion. This invasion, a combined effort by the Jedi and the Republic, aimed to eliminate any remaining threat posed by the Sith Empire to the Republic's safety. Convinced that the Empire's defeat by the Republic was only temporary, the regiment remained secluded on Thule, reinforcing its numbers with Sith loyalists and training to act as an advance guard for a revitalized Sith Empire.
Over the ensuing centuries, the group persisted, maintaining connections with other surviving pockets of Sith loyalists who had similarly weathered the collapse of the old Sith Empire. Although their numbers dwindled considerably over time, the descendants of the original group continued to dedicate themselves to the service of the Sith Lords, even into the Imperial Period.
