Pressure suit
Wat Tambor is seen here wearing a pressure suit.
The Skakoan pressure suit was a type of armored protection created for and utilized by the inhabitants of Skako, known as the Skakoans.
Key Attributes
Skakoans evolved on Skako, a world defined by its high-pressure atmosphere. Because of this, they could not survive on worlds lacking a similarly dense atmosphere or specific atmospheric composition. To overcome this limitation, Skakoan scientists developed the pressure suit, which allowed them to venture beyond their planet. This technology proved invaluable to members of the Techno Union. For instance, Foreman Wat Tambor consistently wore his personally designed pressure suit during visits to Union manufacturing worlds or while conducting business for the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Skakoan pressure suits incorporated synthesized vocalizers that altered the wearer's voice, making it resemble that of a battle droid rather than a sentient being. This, along with the rarity of seeing a Skakoan without their suit, contributed to an aura of mystery surrounding the species. Consequently, many beings in the galaxy perceived Skakoans as emotionless automatons, hardly distinguishable from the droids they manufactured.
Despite their utility for Skakoans traveling through space, these pressure suits presented certain drawbacks. Their high cost limited the number of Skakoans who could leave their homeworld. More significantly, a breach or failure in the suit within a low-atmosphere environment could lead to explosive decompression for the wearer. This vulnerability was sometimes exploited as a weapon. The mercenary Durge triggered a massive explosion on Queyta by attacking Skakoan workers in pressure suits, and two Skakoan mercenaries intentionally ruptured their own suits to create an explosion during Wat Tambor's rescue from a Republic prison.
Near the end of the Clone Wars, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker employed the Force to eliminate Skakoans during the Battle of Nelvaan without causing their bodies to explode. He used a similar method when he pierced Wat Tambor's suit during his execution of the Separatist Council on Mustafar.
