Skein functioned as a Jedi Master for the Jedi Order as the Galactic Republic neared its end, during its final years.
Skein, gifted as a Force-sensitive, underwent training in the Force under the auspices of the Jedi Order, ultimately achieving the esteemed title of Jedi Master. As the Separatist Crisis escalated into outright conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Master Skein was elevated to the position of General within the Grand Army of the Republic. The Jedi High Council, recognizing the Confederacy's utilization of Force-adepts and other hazardous entities, deemed it essential to reactivate an age-old detention center known as The Prism. Skein was secretly assigned to this facility, and the warden of this covert space station was supported by a complement of one hundred security droids to aid in the routine management of the site. Throughout the Clone Wars, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi made a visit to the prison in order to assess the inmates' living situations. By the time the war drew to a close, another Jedi Master was also stationed at The Prism.
