The Skirmish on Carlac took place circa 21 BBY during the time of the Clone Wars.
On the remote planet of Carlac, situated in the Outer Rim Territories, a detachment of clone troopers under the leadership of Clone Commander Wolffe was dispatched because of a crashed Munificent-class star frigate belonging to the Confederate Navy. Wolffe not only sent his clone cold assault troopers into battle against the Separatist battle droids located at the frigate's crash site, but he also tasked a Jedi Knight with resolving the issue of multiple Death Watch encampments on the planet. While moving through the area, the Jedi Knight came across a ravaged village and encountered Sergeant Kellov. The Jedi also progressed towards the various Death Watch camps, including Camp Kote, which was commanded by Lieutenant Vherr, Camp Beskar, headed by Lieutenant Ralnar, and Camp Ara'nov, under the leadership of Lieutenant Melkket. All of these camps held several Ming Po as prisoners.
After dismantling the series of training camps, the Jedi discovered a large village held captive by the Death Watch. The Knight encountered Clone Trooper Mortar, who explained that the Death Watch had threatened to burn the entire village and its inhabitants if the Republic did not withdraw its forces. Determining that a full-scale assault would endanger too many innocent lives, the Jedi initiated a covert infiltration mission into the village, eliminating several Death Watch soldiers. A Clone naval officer guided the Jedi, reporting that a LAAT Gunship would be providing aerial reconnaissance and extinguishing fires within the village. Kherr Dawar, a member of the Death Watch, attempted to ensnare the Jedi, but the LAAT extinguished the surrounding fires after Dawar was defeated.
Ultimately, the Jedi confronted Pre Vizsla in the village center, along with Mord Jayran and Kro Lann. Vizsla and his remaining troops were forced to flee, and the Death Watch was driven from the village.
