Sleeth, a gangster from the Molavaran species, was the son of Magon, the leading crime boss in the urban sprawl of Malcraan. He frequently caused problems for Byrom, a local moisture farmer. His mother was a powerful figure in the underworld.
On one occasion, Sleeth visited the farm seeking protection payments. However, Darca Nyl drove him away and subjected him to ridicule. Shortly after, Sleeth's mother appeared, intending to avenge the insult to her son by punishing Byrom. Sleeth felt humiliated by his mother's condescending treatment, which made him feel like a child. However, this feeling was short-lived, as a Molavaran caravan, headed by Tooth, forced the criminals to flee.
