The Spire, also referred to as Zakuul City, functioned as the capital city for the planet of Zakuul. This radiant, golden metropolis extended outward from its central tower and formed a towering, vertical urban landscape. Skyscrapers and pyramid-shaped structures were suspended, one above the other, in a climb that almost reached the atmosphere. Every road on Zakuul ultimately converged at the Spire. It was constructed over the Old World, which was Emperor Valkorion's initial, but ultimately inadequate, attempt to create a city. The Spire's highest point stretched beyond the planetary atmosphere and housed the Emperor's throne room, the location of the Eternal Throne.
