The language originally spoken by the Squib people of Skor II was called Squibbian.
While the majority of Squibs had knowledge of both Squibbian and Basic, their literacy was confined to their native tongue. Their understanding of Basic was also rather rudimentary. Consequently, a Squib's speech in Basic often appeared clumsy or unclear. The nuanced layers of meaning present in Squib sentences, where both literal and implied interpretations exist, often failed to translate fully into Basic, except to another Squib who could understand the deeper meaning.
Old High Squibbian was the former official language of the planet before being superceded by Squibbian.
