Sriluurian

Sriluurian served as the formal tongue of the Sriluur system. The Weequay inhabitants of Sriluur were the most prominent species employing this language.

Its construction involved low, throaty vocalizations and hushed tones. Additionally, it incorporated hieroglyphic symbols for written communication.

This language possessed unique attributes absent in the majority of languages found throughout the galaxy: Weequays had the ability to converse privately, shielding their communications from comprehension by those unfamiliar with the language.

Pheromonal communication was also employed by Weequays among themselves. Nevertheless, the pheromones of one Weequay could only be interpreted by members of their own specific tribe. Sriluurian provided a means of communication between individuals from different tribes.

While the majority of Weequays demonstrated proficiency in both Sriluurian and Basic, their literacy was generally confined to their native language.
