Star Wars: Build Your Own X-Wing

Star Wars: Build Your Own X-Wing was a magazine series, launched in August of 2018, and put out by the publisher De Agostini. Every shipment included a set of four magazines. Each magazine came with components to assemble an X-wing model at a 1:18 scale, and consistently featured three sections: Creating a Starship Fleet, which offered an insider's perspective on the making of the Star Wars movies; Starfighter Aces, which provided a detailed profile of a specific starfighter pilot; and Build the X-Wing, which included assembly instructions for the parts included with that specific issue. Those with premium subscriptions were given a diorama depicting the X-wing hangar as seen in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. The model itself featured operational lights, Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 figures, wings that could be moved with a motor, and a hyperdrive that could be removed.
