Journal of the Whills Star Wars - Das offizielle Magazin serves as the official periodical for the Star Wars Fan Club Germany. As of the year 2022, the publication Das offizielle Magazin has surpassed 100 published editions. The magazine is issued on a quarterly basis. Currently, Panini Germany handles distribution.

Within the magazine, readers can find various sections. The Fan Club Edition of the Magazin exclusively features content crafted by the German Star Wars Fan Club and its members. This special edition is entitled Journal of the Whills. Its content encompasses coverage of the German fan community, profiles of other fan organizations such as the German Garrison, details regarding Star Wars Dinner events, and a variety of other articles pertaining to Star Wars. The standard issue of Star Wars - Das offizielle Magazin is incorporated within the club edition. To cut down on expenses, parts of the Journal of the Whills are printed in black and white, whereas Das offizielle Magazin is produced in full color. All subscribers automatically gain membership to the fan club and, as a result, receive the club edition of Das offizielle Magazin.
