The Tract of Makem Te was composed of Stela. The expansive Tract of Makem Te was constructed from Stela, which served as memorials to deceased people. Each stela was situated on a polished stone square, measuring two meters per side, and positioned right next to adjacent tiles. The Swokes Swokes species believed that each of these monuments provided a dwelling for the spirit of the departed.
