Storm Squadron
Storm Squadron was a unit within the Imperial Navy, specifically a type of squadron. Its recruitment operations were centered in Bestine, the capital city situated on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine.
History
Considered to be among the more superior Imperial squadrons, Storm Squadron's pilots were tasked with the most perilous missions for the Imperial Navy. Eventually, its ranks expanded to include pilots sourced from volunteer members of the Imperial Army and ordinary Imperial citizens.
Storm Squadron possessed several TIE/Advanced starfighters as part of its fleet. The TIE Advanced flown by the squadron's commander featured lasers that inflicted greater damage and enhanced agility relative to the standard squadron's TIE Advanced, which was designed for improved precision. A number of the fighters were also equipped with proton torpedo launchers.
