A species of insects, lacking sentience, known as Swarmers, originated on the planet of Karra. These insects, when amassed in sizable numbers, possessed the capability to induce temporary blindness or deafness in any creature engulfed within their swarm, achieved by entering facial openings. The indigenous Karran inhabitants had mastered the art of manipulating these insects, employing them as instruments of war, and deploying the swarmers against adversaries in combat.
