Around 8 BBY to 2 BBY, specifically one week following the incident where the smuggler Han Solo found himself stranded on Escalan due to being shot by the Rodian bounty hunter Greedo, Sy'Son journeyed alongside another person to meet with Doctor Aber. Aber had requested the elder's presence after Solo regained consciousness earlier that day. Upon their arrival, Aber escorted them to where Solo was and explained that Solo had woken up and even uttered some phrases. When the other person inquired about what Solo had said, the doctor responded that the words were unusual: Han Solo.
