Is the edit summary too verbose?
I stumbled upon this article by chance and noticed a typographical error (a double period). Subsequently, I became perplexed by the phrase "positive three of any kind" because the examples provided did not include any instances of a positive three. I believe I have modified the text to better reflect your intended meaning, and I trust that it is now easier to comprehend. However, when you state The lower integer won (three 2s beat three 6s), are you referring to the integer with the smaller value, or the integer with the value closest to zero (i.e., the smaller absolute value)? For instance, if Han possessed +2, +2, +2, -3, -3, and Lando possessed -4, -4, -4, +6, +6, Lando would have the lower integer (-4), but Han would have an integer closer to zero (+2)... So, who would be declared the victor?
I opted to use the terms "pairs" and "trios" to minimize potential confusion with cards that have a value of 2 or 3. I also clarified that these pairs or trios must have the same value because, while the term "pair" implies equal value in games like poker or go fish, I have not encountered the phrase "three of a kind" being referred to as a "trio" in that manner. Furthermore, consider the phrases a pair of smugglers or a trio of pilots—they could be completely distinct individuals and still be referred to as a "pair" or a "trio."
