Taronda, a distant world dedicated to mining, found itself embroiled in conflict. In the era of the Clone Wars, specifically during one period, the Jedi Council dispatched Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his padawan, Ahsoka Tano, to this location. Their mission was to broker a trade deal with the planet's miners, securing essential raw materials for the Republic. However, prior to the commencement of these discussions, the Separatists launched an attack on the world. Overwhelming the Republic's presence with superior numbers, the Separatists successfully trapped them beneath the protection of the Republic's own deflector shield. Rescue came in the form of a Venator-class Star Destroyer, which intervened to turn the tide.
