The Tarsarian stomper, an introduced predatory species, was housed within the Taris menageries. Following the planet's Destruction of Taris, a reproductive group endured and, at first, flourished in the altered ecosystem. However, a transformed version of the Rakghoul plague contaminated their numbers, leading to the emergence of the Tarsarian devourer. This evolved predator quickly surpassed its ancestor, ultimately causing the stompers' disappearance from Taris.
