The TB-47 time bombs were explosive devices produced by Merr-Sonn, and utilized by a multitude of military groups, notably the forces of both the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. With enough power to breach the defenses of armored vehicles or starfighters, they could also devastate tightly packed infantry formations. The TB-47 had a significant impact on the obliteration of the Endor shield generator, and were often employed by pilots in boarding operations. Furthermore, bounty hunters were known to make use of them.
