Tem Chesko was a male Human who worked as a cargo jockey.
When Chesko was 22, he accepted a shipment of syntonium crystals from Cirus II with the destination being Tatooine. Regrettably, his ship was struck by an asteroid, which inflicted substantial damage on the ships systems, most notably the hyperdrive and comlink. The journey, which would normally take about two weeks with a working hyperdrive, would now require 71 years to finish without one.
He managed to survive these solitary decades with the assistance of a droid designated MILL-247-EE industrial named Millie. Over the course of many years, the pair developed feelings for each other, going so far as Millie planning to destroy herself when she thought Tem cared more for his former girlfriend Maia than for her, despite her artificial nature.
As Tem's body began to fail as he aged, he gave Millie his Laser knife and requested she end his life. However, Millie instead sacrificed herself, using her internal components to create artificial organs that kept him alive.
Tem finally completed his contract after many decades in 3 ABY. He would later recount this story to an alien named Bezzem while in the Mos Eisley cantina.
