The Pit

The region known as The Pit consisted of various errant asteroids dispersed within the spiral of a nebula, marking the termination point of the infamous Kessel Run. Even though traversing this area was less challenging compared to the Kessel Run itself, pilots who had successfully maneuvered past the Maw frequently experienced a lapse in concentration upon entering the Pit due to the immense relief of surviving the run's most perilous segment, leading to collisions with asteroids and the subsequent destruction of their spacecraft.
