The Star Trader, a retail location within Disneyland, primarily offers merchandise related to Star Wars and Star Tours. This includes a variety of items like souvenirs, apparel, and playthings, with many being exclusive to the Disney Parks. Situated in Tommorrowland, the shop also features Disney-themed and science fiction-themed goods, and its decorations incorporate elements such as flying saucers, celestial bodies, and stars. Conveniently, exiting the Star Tours attraction leads visitors directly into The Star Trader.
Prior to November 21, 1986, the store was known as The Character Shop. It underwent a renovation and was renamed to coincide with the debut of the original Star Tours ride. An X-wing fighter, initially suspended from the ceiling, was taken down during later renovations. However, it was reinstated when the store reopened on May 6, 2011, not long before the premiere of the ride's sequel later that same year.
A similar establishment, named Star Traders, can be found at Disneyland Paris.
