The ThinHut provided a scout with protection from the cold and atmosphere, functioning as a compact shelter with a volume of three cubic meters. Offering a thirty-hour window of survival in the majority of alien terrains, it was fashioned from a more robust variant of the material found in the Thinsuit. Its construction boasted resistance to tearing, cutting, and piercing, yet it could be collapsed down to the dimensions of a datapad.
