Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who is sometimes credited as Thomas Sangster, is an actor and musician from England. In Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, he portrayed Petty Officer Thanisson.
Sangster's fame also stems from his portrayal of Jojen Reed in Game of Thrones, his vocal work as Ferb Fletcher in Phineas and Ferb (inclusive of the hour-long special Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars), his role as John Tracy in the ITV series Thunderbirds Are Go, and his performances as Sam in Richard Curtis's Love Actually, the impish Simon Brown in Nanny McPhee, and Newt in The Maze Runner (2014), its 2015 follow-up, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, and the concluding 2018 film, The Maze Runner: Death Cure. Sangster also became more well-known for his starring roles in highly regarded cult films like Casey in Some Dogs Bite, Donald Clarke in Death of a Superhero, Samuel Brawne in Bright Star, and Paul McCartney in Nowhere Boy.
