During the era of the Conquest of Makeb, a Human male named Tiero served as the foreman for Project Failsafe. When a Republic strike force infiltrated the clandestine facility located within the excavated Giant's Spear mesa, Tiero, who was subordinate to the Devaronian Veedrig, brought to light both hazardous work conditions and instances of corruption. Following the force's seizure of the Ark and the removal of Veedrig from his position, Tiero was entrusted with the task of completing the construction of the colossal starship prior to the anticipated planetary cataclysm.
