Til, a celestial body classified as a star, resided in the Til system, situated far into the depths of the Unknown Regions. Orbiting this star was the technologically advanced world known as Tililix, the original homeworld of the sentient Tarro species. Approximately one century prior to the pivotal Battle of Yavin, Til underwent a sudden explosion, resulting in the complete annihilation of Tililix. The only surviving members of the Tarro were those who happened to be away from their homeworld at the time of the event; the total number of remaining individuals from this almost-extinct species was a mere 350. Tarro residing in other star systems theorized that a clandestine superweapon built by the Tarro themselves might have been responsible for Til's destruction.
C. Robert Carey conceived of Til, and it first appeared in Galaxy Guide 12: Aliens — Enemies and Allies, a 1995 supplementary book for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games.
