Biography

During the Jedi Civil War, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire, Toll Apkar made their home on the Outer Rim planet of Korriban, controlled by the Sith. This Rodian lived in Dreshdae, a significant colony that housed a Sith Academy. Apkar spent their time honing their skills in the gambling card game pazaak at The Drunk Side, a cantina situated within the colony.

In 3956 BBY, Revan, the amnesiac Sith Lord who had become a Jedi, arrived in Dreshdae during their quest for the Star Maps. They encountered Apkar at the cantina. Apkar introduced themself and proposed a game of pazaak, confidently asserting their expertise. Revan initially wanted to ask questions, but the gambler declined and suggested Revan speak to other residents of Dreshdae. Apkar stated that if Revan did not wish to play, they preferred solitude. However, Revan agreed to a match and emerged victorious. The Rodian dismissed it as luck and challenged Revan to further games. After suffering multiple defeats and losing a considerable amount of credits, Apkar conceded that the Jedi was the better player. Utterly beaten, the Rodian refused to play any more pazaak with Revan and looked for a different way to spend their time.

Personality and traits

Apkar, a Rodian, possessed copper-toned skin and dark eyes. They were highly skilled at pazaak and took pride in their abilities, often mentioning their skill to others. For Apkar, victory served as proof of this talent. The Rodian was often bored and welcomed the chance to play, as few Korriban residents enjoyed the game. However, they preferred solitude if someone did not want to play a round. Apkar recognized Revan's superior skill and refused to continue playing, knowing they would only lose credits.
