Tomb-walling ceremony

The Tomb-walling ceremony represented the funeral ceremony practiced by the Sullustans. Upon the death of a Sullustan—referred to as the Eternal rest—the friends and family of the deceased Sullustan would participate in a funeral ritual involving the entombment of the body with stone blocks. The Crypt Master served as the leader for this occasion. The initial blocks were positioned by companions and younglings, succeeded by adult offspring, and then by relatives. Subsequently, other friends would contribute based on their societal standing. Upon the placement of the final block, the individual responsible for its placement would deliver a speech, carefully crafted to contain a word count matching the precise age of the departed in standard years. This speech was distinct from a eulogy, as that would suggest a lack of familiarity with the deceased among the other attendees.
