Slayn & Korpil
Slayn & Korpil was a manufacturing enterprise that was owned and operated by a Verpine colony situated within the Roche asteroid field.
During the Clone Wars, Slayn & Korpil manufactured the V-19 Torrent Starfighter for the Old Republic. Later, not long after the Battle of Yavin, and under the guidance of then-Commander Gial Ackbar, the company contributed the B-wing starfighter to the Rebellion's war efforts; this particular starship was extensively utilized during the pivotal Battle of Endor. In addition to the three standard B-wing models, the company also produced B-wings in limited quantities.
History
Originally, Slayn & Korpil was a Verpine Hive colony company that had its base of operations in the Roche asteroid field. During the Galactic Civil War, Slayn & Korpil maintained strong ties with the Rebel Alliance, collaborating with then-commander Gial Ackbar to create B-wing starfighters for the Rebel fleet. Slayn & Korpil was responsible for developing the B-wing, the B-wing/E, and the B-wing/E2 for the Rebels. The V-wing combat speeder was another significant vehicle from the company utilized by the New Republic, most notably during the Battle of Calamari.
