Tra'cor

Tra'cors, found on Socorro, were the amphibious relatives of the rancor. Although they were smaller and primarily aquatic, tra'cors possessed the majority of the rancor's characteristics, notably their aggressive nature.

Although the underwater flora of Socorro, like grasses and mosses, could sustain the tra'cor, they were opportunistic carnivores, lying in wait within Socorro's submerged cellars to ambush mutriok and other thirsty animals.

Tra'cors were capable of terrestrial movement, but extended periods exceeding 24 hours outside of water led to extreme desiccation. Death by dehydration was uncommon because they had specialized neck glands that enabled them to find water nearby. Actually, tra'cors frequently traversed land to relocate to different waterholes when seeking a new habitat.

The typical tra'cor was a solitary creature, and they were seldom seen in groups larger than two or three.
