The Trade Federation ore barge, a slender vessel, had been in service with the Trade Federation for hundreds of years before 33 BBY. Nute Gunray, the Trade Federation Viceroy, considered it the foundation upon which Haor Chall Engineering built the C-9979 landing craft, noting the fuselage was positioned on a stand and topped with two massive wings.
