Tredwall

Tredwall was a small-scale manufacturer of droids, operating within the Corporate Sector and staffed by outlaw techs. They engaged in the practice of stealing droid designs from Kalibac Industries (KI), subsequently producing inferior and unreliable imitations. This practice further damaged KI's already weakened reputation, which had suffered due to a series of lawsuits filed by Cybot Galactica regarding shared component usage.

During the year 2 BBY, Tredwall manufactured and sold a knockoff version of KI's NR-5 Series Repair Droid. This imitation droid typically ceased functioning, with complete circuit failure, after approximately ten [hours](/article/standard_hour/legends] of operation. A Rodian named "Faddo" was employed by Tredwall as a traveling salesperson. He sold these faulty droids to unsuspecting customers along the Vohai Unirail, while simultaneously evading capture by law enforcement. On Cynabar's Droid Datalog, an individual known as Kraemr issued warnings to potential buyers of the NR-5, alerting them to Tredwall's substandard copy. After being defrauded by Faddo, a person identified as Drev, utilizing the Datalog, extended an invitation to others victimized by the Tredwall con artist to convene on the planet Selonia in the following month, with the goal of assisting Drev in seeking retribution.
