Trevura

Trevura was a planet situated in the Inner Rim, governed by the Imperial regime, and notable for its substantial droid presence. Sometime between the events of 0 BBY and 5 ABY, a clandestine droid resistance group operating on Trevura engaged the services of the assassin droid known as S-R6 with the objective to kill Merno Blask, the governor in charge. As a direct consequence, Blask orchestrated a field test in Voma, the capital of the planet, for a newly engineered anti-droid inhibit setting intended for use with blasters.

During this time, a contingent of Rebel Alliance operatives, endeavoring to smuggle an important astromech droid away from the planet, eliminated two Imperial stormtroopers who were armed with the prototype inhibitor guns. Shortly thereafter, S-R6 made contact with the Rebels and arranged a meeting at his garage, at which point stormtrooper reinforcements launched an intense firefight involving everyone present at the location.

Description

Trevura was a terrestrial planet that resided within the Trevura system in the Inner Rim's region.

History

Droid Threat

On Trevura, Imperial stormtroopers field-tested experimental blaster rifles.

Between 0 BBY and 5 ABY, a clandestine underground droid enclave situated on Trevura contracted S-R6, an assassin droid from off-world, to kill Merno Blask, the Imperial governor of the area. Upon learning of the impending assassination attempt by an assassin droid, Blask authorized a field test by an Imperial research team of the inhibit setting, a newly developed blaster function designed to neutralize droids, within Voma, the capital city of Trevura.

As part of this testing process, Imperial stormtroopers were supplied with blaster rifles that included the inhibitor setting. These stormtroopers then patrolled the streets, ionizing any droids in their vicinity under the guise of the droids having become rogue. A small group of Imperial technicians discreetly observed the troopers' actions, meticulously recording the performance of the experimental weapons. Simultaneously, S-R6, an avid collector of weaponry who was intrigued by the appearance of the modified rifles, employed a hovering spy eye droid to monitor the Imperial operations.

The "inhibitor incident"

Concurrently, the Rebel Alliance dispatched a team to Trevura. Their mission was to ensure the safe departure of an astromech droid carrying crucial information about Imperial weapons development, under the pretense of surveying local land for potential purchase. In Voma, two stormtroopers attempted to disable and search the astromech droid, leading to a brief firefight that resulted in the deaths of the two troopers at the hands of the Rebel group.

Shortly after this event, the Rebel agents encountered S-R6, who was disguised as a simple ASP-series labor droid, and visited the assassin's garage, where the droid expressed great interest in the inhibitor guns. At that precise moment, a contingent of stormtroopers, summoned by the Imperial technicians as reinforcements, launched an attack on the structure. Following a fierce firefight, the Rebel group, with assistance from S-R6 and his protocol droid, T-3PO, emerged as the victors. S-R6 then absconded with the inhibitor guns, while the Rebel agents swiftly transported the astromech droid off-planet aboard their starship.

Inhabitants

Trevura, an Imperial world, was generally considered a civilized place. It was home to a significant droid population, and droids were actively traded there. Due to the local governor's strong anti-droid prejudices, droids on Trevura were frequently subjected to harassment by the local law enforcement.

Locations

Voma served as the capital city of Trevura. Droids were a common sight on the city's streets. A garage belonging to the assassin droid S-R6 was located several blocks away from the location where the Rebel agents confronted the Imperial stormtroopers, adjacent to an urban alley.

Behind the scenes

Trevura was conceived for "Gun Nut," a roleplaying mini-adventure for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game by Wizards of the Coast, penned by Jeff Quick and released on Wizards.com on April 11, 2002. The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009, situated the Trevura system, and consequently Trevura itself, within grid square K-14.

"Gun Nut" offers two alternative scenarios that unfold based on the player characters' choices regarding the inhibitor guns taken from the stormtroopers they eliminated in Voma's streets. If the characters acquire the weapons, they are soon approached by T-3PO, S-R6's protocol droid. The droid proposes to purchase the firearms on behalf of his master, and if the characters agree, he escorts them to S-R6's garage, where the assassin droid personally continues the negotiation for the weapons.

If the characters choose not to take the inhibitor guns, S-R6, disguised as a labor droid performing cleanup for the Trevura government, collects them. The "labor droid" then signals for the characters to follow him to his garage, at which point they can either disregard the droid and quickly prepare to leave the planet or follow him to his hideout, where S-R6 proceeds to question the characters about their experience with the inhibitor guns. Regardless of the scenario the player characters follow, they end up in S-R6's garage, leading to the remaining part of the adventure.
