Trico was a type of flora that grew on the lunar body known as Yavin 8. The intelligent indigenous species, the Melodies, utilized it as sustenance. This plant, Trico, was processed into a smooth substance and given to young Melodies as nourishment until they reached an age where they could consume the silver-backed aquatic creatures found in the lakes of the violet-hued highlands where the Melodies resided on the moon.
